Laurier House
A 1878 mansion situated on 335 Laurier Ave. E., was home to two prominent Canadian Prime Ministers -- Sir Wilfrid Laurier and William Lyon Mackenzie King. It contains historical exhibits and personal memorabilia of the two men and houses the contents of the study of a third prime minister Lester B. Pearson. All of these collections have evoked the political life of Canada over more than half a century.

Billing Estate Museum
Billing Estate Museum, built in 1828 by pioneer Braddish Billings, is located on 8.4 acres of scenic gardens and parkland 10 km south of Parliament Hill. The neoclassical house, formerly called Park Hill and once the New England style home of two of Ottawa's earliest settlers, overlooks Ottawa and the Rideau River. Inside, displays of furniture, textiles, photographs, antiques, family heirlooms and other documents detail the history of the estate and the five generations of the Billings family that occupied it.
Rideau Canal
The currents of history flow through the Rideau Canal, operated by Parks Canada as a National Historic Canal. Dating back to the nineteenth century, the Canal links lakes and rivers for a distance of over 200 kilometres from Ottawa to Kingston. The Canal offers outdoor recreational activities in a historic and beautiful natural setting. The Rideau Canal is North America's oldest operating 19th-century canal.
